specifically, bethink you the LotR illustration works of Alan Lee.
something about the composition, colors, level of saturation, implied scale.
it is reminiscent.

I think Alan Lee's choice of colors and at least a few of his images might well bring his LOTR gallery to mind...quite a compliment, me thinks!
